Knit much? Thanks to The Knit Café I do!

I’d wanted to learn to knit for years. My mom tried to teach me years ago but for some reason I was just not getting it. I watched knitting videos online, but I would just end up with something that resembled a tangled up pompom.

So I decided it was time to quit. Just kidding! I registered for the Knit 101 course at The Knit Cafe located in Roncesvalles.  I was quite scared the first day, I thought oh boy will I learn?

The class was six students along with a teacher, who just happened to be one of the owners of The Knit Cafe. The class ran for 6 weeks, once a week for 2 hours.

Thanks to the patience of the teacher and her ability to explain the knitting process in simple terms I actually learned to knit!

After practicing and trying again and again, I knit myself a winter hat. Yeah that yellow hat you see in the picture – made by me.

The Knit Cafe offers lots of courses, whether you’re a newbie or an avid knitter, there’s something for everyone. So check it out of knitting is your thing!

PS: they offer a cup of tea at the start of every class :)
