A hearty healthy soup that fuels the soul!

Being under the weather sucks. Recently I came down with a cold and needed something warm to help me feel better. So I went into Freshii and tried their chicken soup. I was blown away!

Their soups are huge and super hearty. The customized soup i ordered was loaded with vegetables (tomatoes, carrots, onions, green peppers, broccoli), brown rice, chicken chunks and chicken broth...it was truly delish!

PS: Their frozen yogurt is to die for!

Pizza Rustica is a pizza lovers dream!

On Saturday we made our way to Wahlburgers – it was a frenzy! It was cold and there was a private event going on, so we looked across the street and saw Pizza Rustica (270 Wellington St. W. (on Blue Jays Way)). And what a delight it was!

A small but cozy spot, Pizza Rustica has tons of different varieties of pizzas to choose from. From vegetarian to meat to spicy to sweet (with Nutella…yes Nutella).

What we ate

Santa Fe: Chipotle pesto sauce, mozzarella, sliced tomatoes, chicken, fresh hot organic sausage, corn, red onions& fresh cilantro drizzled with a heavenly chipotle ranch dressing. $16

Rustica: Tomato sauce with mozzarella, sun-dried tomatoes, sweet roasted peppers, mushrooms, goat cheese, topped with fresh cut prosciutto. $15

I have to say, both were out of this world. If you a pizza lover you should definitely try out this place. We literally left nothing on our plates!

PS: Dim lights, candles on the tables make this place cozy and romantic. And oh yea they have sports on their screens so it’s a win win if you are on a date ;)
